Job Position Descriptions:

Baggers/Cart Attendants:
foodsource’s baggers properly bag customers’ grocery orders quickly and efficiently. They carefully handle product to maintain high quality. Baggers also assist customers by helping to locate products throughout the store. Cart attendants offer assistance in our parking lots by loading groceries into customers’ vehicles. They are also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness.

Cashiers:
Cashiers at foodsource scan customer orders courteously, quickly, and accurately. Our cashiers help bag grocery orders when necessary by carefully handling customer purchases. They also provide assistance by answering questions and helping locate product throughout the store. Cashiers are also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness.

Cheese Clerk
Cheese clerks assist the cheese manager and are responsible for cutting, wrapping and handling all products within the department. This person must have excellent sales and communication skills to help with customer's special requests. Cheese clerks are expected to learn the different varieties of cheese and other products, such as olives, carried in the department. Cheese clerks are responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following sanitation standards.

Chef's Kitchen Clerks: 
Chef's Kitchen clerks assist the Chef’s Kitchen by assisting customers with product information and selection. In addition they stock and display products in a manner that will entice sales and ensure customer satisfaction. Chef’s Kitchen clerks are responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following sanitation standards.

Chef's Kitchen Cooks: 
Chef's Kitchen cooks assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef by preparing standardized recipes. Chef’s Kitchen cooks are responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Previous culinary experience is required for this position.

Cleaning Person:  
The cleaning person is responsible for cleaning the store and carrying out light maintenance duties as needed to keep the store presentable to customers.

Barista and Pastry Clerk:
foodsource barista and pastry clerks prepare coffee beverages to customer requests. They assist customers with product information, product selection and special orders. Barista and pastry clerks package product and rotate merchandise to guarantee freshness and maintain sanitation standards.

Courtesy Desk Clerk:  
Courtesy desk clerks at foodsource answer telephones, handle customer questions, and returns. The courtesy desk clerk schedules cashier breaks and lunches, monitors cashiers and baggers, and opens a register or bags when needed. They are also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness.

Deli Clerk:
Deli clerks at foodsource slice and wrap meats and cheeses as requested by customers. They prepare sandwiches and package salads. Deli clerks are also responsible for maintaining sanitation standards and answering customer questions.

Delivery Driver:
foodsource requires responsible individuals to deliver floral & catering goods to Philadelphia, Glen Mills, & Main Line areas. Must have valid drivers license.

Floral Clerk:
Clerks working in foodsource floral department care and maintain fresh flowers and plants sold to customers. They also assist in creatively displaying products and helping customers with information and special orders. Floral Clerks are also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Floral Designer:
The Floral Designer works independently and as a team member to creatively design floral arrangements/displays as per customer requests. They are also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness and sanitation standards. Previous Floral Design experience is required.

Grocery, Frozen Food and Dairy Clerks
Clerks in the grocery department of foodsource are responsible for stocking shelves, rotating product and maintaining department cleanliness. They also assist customers with special requests and product location. Some grocery clerks assist in merchandising grocery items by building displays.

Meat Clerk:
Meat clerks at foodsource assist meat cutters by preparing, weighing, wrapping, and pricing product. In addition, they stock meat cases, rotate product for freshness and maintain sanitation standards. Meat clerks assist customers with product information and selection, cooking and preparation tips, and special requests.

Meat Cutter:
foodsource meat cutters are responsible for cutting primal cuts of meat into retail cuts. They are also involved in the cutting, grinding, and trimming of beef, lamb, veal, pork, and chicken. Meat cutters are responsible for maintaining the safety and sanitation standards of the meat department. Meat cutters assist customers with product information, cooking and preparation tips, and special requests.

Produce Clerk:
foodsource’s produce clerks process, cut and package various types of fruits and vegetables. They also assist in stocking and maintaining produce stands. Clerks are responsible for product rotation to insure produce freshness and maintaining department cleanliness. Interaction with customers to assist in product selection and location is an important role in the produce clerk’s position.

Seafood Clerk: 
Seafood Clerks at foodsource prepare, weigh, wrap and price product for customers. Seafood Clerks must also be able to complete basic fish cuts and maintain the department’s safety and sanitation standards. In addition they stock and display products in the seafood case in a manner that will entice sales and ensure customer satisfaction. Assisting customers with product selection, information and preparation techniques are key roles in this job.
